Election of Mr. Hogr Chato as the Head of the Alliance for the session of the year 2025
The Alliance of Iraqi Minorities network AIM, held its annual electoral conference in Erbil Ankawa on Friday, January 31st ,2025 at the Hyksos Hotel .
Mr. William Warda and Mr.Amir Saed represent Hammurabi Human Rights Organization HHRO being an active and the founder of the AIM since its launching on November 6th 2010.
It is to be mentioned that the Alliance is comprising twenty eight civil society organizations advocating for minority rights.
The conference began with the anthem of minorities by the artist Jassim Haider, and a documentary film was screened about some of Alliance activities.
After the legal quorum was approved . participants elected a presidential body to manage the conference, headed by Mr. Khaled Roumi, who is one of the senior advisors of the Alliance.
The agenda of the conference was discussed by the conferences focusing on the Report of achievement presented by Professor Heidi Scar and the activities implemented by the coalition organizations. As well as the financial report presented by Mrs. Kaban Kamal.
The participants stopped at some activities, calling for the development of partnership relations and collective work.
Participants also examined applications to join the Alliance from civil society organizations, as well as active members of the Alliance's advisory body. Some were accepted while others did not vote for incomplete conditions for admission.
Prior to the conclusion of the Conference, elections were held to elect the Board of Directors by direct secret ballot, where a new Board of Directors of the Alliance was elected.
Immediately after the Conference, the Board of Directors met to elect the Chairman. The Council voted by majority to Mr. Hogr Chato as the Head of the Alliance for the session of the year 2025
