The Erbil branch of Hammurabi Human Rights Organization marked On Saturday, 20/6/2022, a group of young graduates of both sexes, after passing the English language development course held by the Erbil branch for the period from May 28 to August 13, 2022, with the support of Christian Solidarity International (CSI).
Engineer Riyath Hanna Lutfi Shaan, head of the Erbil branch of the organization, and his team, with the assistance of Miss Rita Al-Banna, were able to organize contact with the applicants, Mr. Shaan conducted tests accepting 24 people who proved eligible to participate in the training workshop.
The Cambridge Basic Curriculum for English Language has been adopted, based on training the participants on reading, conversation, grammar, and training on the correct terms of vocabulary and letter exits and words according to the latest contemporary methods. At the end of the course participants were granted certificates to those who continued their commitment to attendance throughout the duration of the session. Dr. Samiya Yousef, Vice President of the Erbil branch of the organization, participated in the granting the certificates.
Mr. Shaan, the project manager and the main trainer of the course organized on Saturday, August 20, 2022, a special meeting,including a breakfast banquette, where participants expressed their feelings and impressions about the workshop and the extent to which they benefited from. The meeting was attended by Mr. William Warda, head of the Committee of Public relations in the organization and the supervisor of the project paid attention to the suggestions of participants expressing feelings towards lecturer and the workshop and its management. Some expressed feelings in the English language and praised the course and the benefit, demanding Hammurabi organization for advanced courses.
Participant Vivian Adnan said, "She noticed the development of her language and improved her ability to speak and express her feelings adding in English, "We hope to participate in more advanced workshops."
As Mr. Duraid Salim Polus expressed, "The lecturer was very firm, but we eventually discovered that firmness and diligence was for the sake of our interest".
Father Nihad Sabih Habib, who participated in the course to develop his English language, said that his participation gave momentum for participants in communication and perseverance, as he said, "The lecturer was able to improve my ability to pronounce words and read correctly, and I do appreciate his efforts, as his dealings with us was not only as a professor but as an educator and father,” also thanks and appreciate Hammurabi Human Rights Organization and partners, wishing success with all its humanitarian programs.
