Mrs. Pascale Warda, Chairwoman of the Hammurabi Human Rights Organization HHRO, Former Minister of Migration and Displaced, member of Iraqi Women's Network participated in the 92nd anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's birthday held in the gardens of the British Embassy in Baghdad on 16/4/2018.
Chairwoman of HHRO met Mr. Jon Wilks the British Ambassador to Iraq who very welcomed her being of old knowledge where he was working in the embassy in 2003.
Mr. Wilks delivered a speech in Arabic expressing his thanks and called on Iraqis to further develop relations with Britain through various commitments between the two friendly countries.
The Ambassador officially announced to the correct information pertaining to visas to Iraqis, saying thousands of visas annually given to Iraqis, whether for tourism, business or cultural exchange ... Etc.
He recommended that the Iraqis could open bank accounts where this is essential in order to facilitate access to Tourist and Visit Visa... Etc.
Mr.Wilks conveyed the greetings of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth to the Iraqis, which emphasize the development of relations with Iraq as friendly country adding that Britain have a long cooperation history of trade, scientific, political and security n, and a history with Iraq …Etc.
The second word was given by Baroness Emma Nicholson, who is visiting Iraq for the purpose of meeting the most formal sectors to strengthen exchange and relations between the two countries. She also presented what Britain offers to Iraqi universities and currently the University of Kufa - Faculty of Medicine and her support to the project of developing the capabilities of doctors and medical staff in the university. She praised the merit and seriousness of Iraqi medical education, calling for Iraq to restore recovery in all circles.
It is to be mentioned that the Ambassador has used the sense of British humor to display the industrial production displayed in the gardens of the embassy including cars and cranes for construction, all are British-made, demanding Iraqis to buy these exhibits!
Mrs. Warda met Baroness Emma Nicholson, Dr. Victoria Lindsey the British Council's Local Director, Mrs. Natalie the First Secretary of the Embassy's Political Section. She also met Mr. Sami Al-Aaraji Chairman of the Investment Authority, Mr. Mohammed Salman Assistant General Manager of the office of national reconciliation in the office of the Prime Minister, and number of Iraqi personalities participating in the celebration, Mrs. Warda described this relational evening very positively.
The national anthem of Iraq and Britain was played and performed by the finest players of Iraqi youth art in Baghdad expressing the British and Iraqi official greetings to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth
