
Taghrid Adris: This workshop can be considered as a story of success at the beginning of the year 2025 achieved by the Erbil branch of Hammurabi Organization
On January 31st 2025, the training workshop on the art of wax and Turkish stone was concluded.
The five day workshop was organized by Hammurabi Human Rights Organization started on January, 26th 2025 to train the displaced women in Erbil.
The workshop was attended by twelve displaced women who face difficulties in accessing work and not find opportunities for employment in State institutions or the private sector.
The training workshop was funded by donors interested in achieving this goal through Hammurabi Human Rights Organization (HHRO).
The participants were compelled to adhere to schedule and interact with the trainers in completing the works and the handling of this beautiful art. The participants carried out practical applications and accomplished magnificence artistic waxwork and Turkish stone.
The training staff provided all their expertise in this art to get success and reach the goal and enable participants to harness all received information and lessons to finance themselves and their families by getting opportunities of home based work, as well able to do a creative work to add decorations to their homes.
Mrs. Pascale Warda, Chairwoman of the Hammurabi Human Rights Organization, and Mr. William Warda, Director of Public Relations, participated in a part of the workshop on Thursday January 31st 2025, the last day of the session, reviewing the work that had been accomplished.
Mrs. Warda, Chairman of the Organization, distributed certificates of appreciation and participation to all participants.
The Chairwoman of the Organization expresses her appreciation and praise to Mrs. Taghrid Adris, the head of the Erbil branch - the project manager, and to Mrs. Nadia Butti, member of the Board of Directors for supervising the project on a daily basis on behalf of the Board of Directors.
The Chairwoman of the Organization also thanked all the participants in the workshop and asked them to use what they learn for a material gain to achieve a decent living of their families.

For her part, Mrs. Taghrid Adris, the project manager, told the Nergal News Network, “This workshop, despite its limited time and funding, achieved its goals through cooperation and dedication of the training staff to make a successful work, as well as the commitment of the participants and their interaction with the trainers instructions and advice.” adding, “This workshop can be considered a success story at the beginning of the year 2025 achieved by the Erbil branch of the Hammurabi Organization”.
Zina Tariq, one of the participants expressed happiness at what she received and said, “I have greatly benefited from this workshop and now I can do artistic waxwork and Turkish stone that can provide me self-financing.”
