During his European tour, Mr. William Warda, Director of Public Relations of Hammurabi Human Rights Organization, met with a number of personalities and partner organizations. One of his priorities was the importance of meeting with Christian Solidarity International (CSI) . In his meeting with Dr. John Ebner, President of Christian Solidarity International, in Zurich on July 14, 2022, he discussed the exchange of views on issues of mutual concern such as the humanitarian crisis as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian war and its economic, political and humanitarian impacts and repercussions, the human rights situation in Iraq and to alleviate the suffering of the displaced people from Turkey's recent military interventions in Iraqi regions. The two sides also discussed the reality of their partnership, stressing the importance of communication and coordination.
Mr. Warda emphasized that Hammurabi's partnership with CSI is a strategic and principled partnership considering the convergence of objectives and interest of both parties on current issues and the issue of human rights violations. For his part, Mr. Ebner stressed his keenness to continue the partnership between CSI and Hammurabi Organization and to support its humanitarian projects in Iraq, calling for more cooperation and coordination on humanitarian and human rights issues to serve human rights, religious minorities and vulnerable and marginalized groups.
On July 13, 2022, Mr. Warda met with Mrs. Helen Ray, director of the organization programs in the Middle East. The meeting dealt with the joint projects implemented by Hammurabi Organization with the support of Christian Solidarity International and the assessing of functioning in particular those focused on supporting education for minorities and assisting some kindergartens, especially that focused on supporting education for minorities assisting some kindergartens, displaced students and the poor in transportation and accommodation, as well as projects to support young graduates in raising their skills and proficiency in English language for easy access to work and employment. The meeting also dealt with the project of supporting the return of Yeziedi families to Sinjar and securing the expenses of transporting 100 families from the camps to Sinjar, as well as the livelihood project implemented by Hammurabi Organization in Sinjar and with the support of CSI, which contributed to helping 15 Yeziedi families in Sinjar and a number of other nearby Yeziedi camps. The project enabled them to do small projects, opening up new prospects for prosperous life. The projects included women's barber shops, clothing shops and homeware shops. and car repair, sewing, library, restaurant, carpentry template etc.
The meeting also addressed the importance of allocating funds for future projects to be implemented by Hammurabi Organization, especially livelihood projects which have proven successful achieving some aspect of economic recovery and market mobilization in minority areas. It also enabled many of moving marketing as well as the winter dress project for poor children in schools and orphan centers.
