HHRO condemns the Turkish aerial bombardment of the town of Nahla in Duhok province, this condemnation was expressed by an authorized spokesman who described the incident as unacceptable in any circumstance.
Adding in a statement to Nergal News Network that the Turkish claims that this Iraqi town contains gunmen affiliated with the Turkish PKK are false claims which has no basis, all the residents of the town are civilians and there are no armed manifestations in the town. HHROs authorized spokesman confirmed that the Turkish use of such a plea reveals a disregard of facts in addition to being acts of brutality which assaults Iraqs sovereignty.
HHROs authorized spokesman concluded his statement by saying that the Turkish assaults against the Iraqi villages situated nearby the borders and the frequent penetration of the Iraqi territory cannot be overlooked, and if the duty of the Iraqi government is to condemn and confront all assaults then the duty of the international community is to interfere and prevent the Turks from repeating such actions especially that what the Turks are doing helps the aggressive goals of the Islamic States terrorist groups which expropriated the Nineveh province and seized control of vast territories in the province.
