Mrs. Pascale Warda, Chairwoman of the Hammurabi Human Rights Organization, Former Minister of Migration and Displaced, member of the Iraqi Women's Network participated in the annual festival of students of Al-Hamdaniya University in Qaraqoush district, on Thursday 3/5/2018.
Mrs. Warda accompanied by Dr. Anis Haddad the administrative assistant of the President of Al-Hamdaniya University to cut the ribbon of the exhibition ceremony accomplished by students of the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Fitness, teaching how to act during emergency situations and the mechanism of aid and other scientific field innovations.
Mrs. Warda presence was clear in the field of exhibition preparation held by Hammurabi Human Rights Organization opened on the sideline of the festival in order to inform the students about the importance of volunteering activities as the requirements of building the personality of the citizen after all the injustice and persecution and other serious human rights violations.
Dr. Anis Haddad delivered a speech on behalf of the President of Al-Hamdaniya University, noting with great importance and appreciation to the clear national realities represented by the University of Al-Hamdaniya, including the diversity of Iraqi society.
Mrs. Pascale Warda delivered a speech on the occasion, addressing the march of human rights and relief organization, stressing that voluntary work purify the souls and raise the nations.
In her speech Mrs. Warda reviewed the steps accomplished by Hammurabi Organization to the intensive follow-up and logistical support to Al-Hamdaniya University (Prepositioning herewith the text of the speech).
The festival and the two exhibitions,one of the organization and the other of the students was attended by Mr. Louis Marqus Ayoub vice president of the Organization, Mr. Yohanna Yousef Tawaya, head of Hammurabi organization branch in Erbil, Farhan Yousef member of the General Board and other friends of the organization.

Voluntary action promotes nationalities
On behalf of the Board of Directors of Hammurabi Human Rights Organization, I would like to congratulate you on this nice festival occasion for the seven-years old Al-Hamdaniya University. I am honored that I participated in the difficult cirrcumstances of establishing your university after targeting the students of the University of Mosul by the terrorist groups stained with blood .
Without any doubt, and out of our belief for everyone to enjoy the most basic human rights, the Hammurabi human rights organization did not stand idle on your conditions , despite the many pitfalls, it continued to stand in your favor. We have made great efforts in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to develop a public university in 2005 for students from the region and continue to 5500 students. But the successive government changes following the political tensions prevented this achievement till 2010, where in the meeting of August 2010 we obtained the approval of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abed Ajil to establish a governmental university ... Soon opened doors for students from various provinces of Iraq, and within the scope of its modest potential , your organization Hammurabi has put in place a number of national and international relations to provide some of the necessary inputs and participate in laying the foundation stone for the construction of the governmental university in 2010 for your studies.
We received the inauguration of the first department of the Faculty of Education, the Department of Geography in November. And thus we have participated directly in providing you with four vital scientific projects to serve you. Unfortunately, however, you were unable to enjoy them. The black invasion of the criminals ISIS did not leave you with the opportunity to benefit from the available supplies to open scientific sections. Life Science, physics and languages, and a sport hall equipped with the latest requirements for exercise with French funding for a project submitted and implemented by Hammurabi. In addition to the above, the College of Education in Al-Hamdaniya was provided with all office supplies such as computers, stationery, cafeteria, etc., which were funded by the US Embassy in implementation of a project submitted by Hammurabi Organization and follow-up by the President of Mosul University and with the dean of the College, represented by Dr. Michael Jahola that time, and other personalities interested in this project, in particular the professors Yohanna Yousef Tawaya and Louis Marqus Ayoub, as well as the speaker and others who sought to solve the problem of our dear students radically.
Today, after the generous return of quite a few forcibly displaced people to the Nineveh Plain area, I am pleased to congratulate you and to express Hammurabi Organization solidarity to support your presence, as we have not only worked together with you, but have continued to provide you with all our volunteer efforts to assist you during the displacement. Hammurabi continued to provide humanitarian support in its efforts to bring financiers from outside the country to support our voluntary work at your service, not only to assist you during the intense displacement, but also to welcome you back to your university in spite of the modest support provided by ongoing relief and even some partnerships In the rehabilitation of your role as well as supplying the internal sections with foodstuffs and blankets. All this symbolizes the "authentic spiritual relationship" between Hammurabi and your esteemed university to meet the challenges and remove all traces of evils and pitfalls that have affected your legitimate rights in the study.
Today, Hammurabi want to take this opportunity to present a series of pictures of its humanitarian and human rights activities in order to communicate with you in the live testimony of the benefits of voluntary work that is truly raise the nations , calling you to succeed and move forward in establishing the spirit of giving , responsibility and fraternity among all sects of Nineveh province for a better future and more prosperous, happy and open generations, you are happy and safe, peace and brotherhood prevail among all of you.
Let me conclude by reiterating my thanks and appreciation to the dear brothers of the President of the University of Mosul and the Honorable President of Al-Hamdaniya University and to the administrative and technical assistants, as well as to the distinguished former and current deans of the faculties, the heads of the departments and all the other staff members, to allow all of us to experience these happy moments together in solidarity with oppression, displacement and genocide strations that our beloved country has suffered in more than one region.
Yes, by voluntary work, we can communicate for the reconstruction of all cities, towns and villages of the province of Nineveh, with its people and its diverse of population and to treat the wound that has hit all parts of Iraq. This is the adress required now, since it is only fitting that we must be civilized and faithful followers of the cultural edifice built by our great ancestors ince the time of the ancient dynasties of Mesopotamia cradle of civilizations ,Iraq today!
