2014/07/08 – HHRO is keen to help the displaced fleeing the horror and violence in Mosul, Tall Afar and other areas, thus, a team from HHRO continues to deliver aid in many remote villages and towns IDPs took as a refuge.
Mr. Louis Merqus (vice-president of HHRO) confirmed that HHRO’s activity is taking place in cooperation and coordination with Christian Solidarity International (CSI-USA), which has been quite effective, putting into consideration that HHRO was among the pioneers in delivering aid and forming teams to handle this matter.
While talking to Nergal deputy, Mr. Merqus added “In Hamdaniya, the organization is investing in all its capabilities to serve the displaced ones according to the preparations it has and it’s looking forward to partake in any Aid action which shall alleviate the daily suffering of displaced families”, “the most important program to be working on currently and in the future is to secure water for drinking and daily use for the residents of the Nineveh plain and for the IDPs as well, after the water project in Al-Salamiya and Al-Rashidiya was seized by armed forces”.
