Mr. William Warda, Director of Public Relations of Hammurabi Human Rights Organization called on the French Ambassador to Iraq HE Mr. Bruno Aubert to participate in the reception hosted by the French Embassy to mark Bastille Day, France’s National Day at Babylon Hotel in Baghdad on July 12, 2018.
During the ceremony, Mr. Warda congratulates the French Ambassador and members of the French Diplomatic Corps, wishing the French government and people progress and conciliation.
Mr. Warda also stressed that the Iraqi people are keen to maintain relations between the two people to serve the development of common interests and achieve development and the importance of assisting Iraq in the projects of building and developing Iraq.
Speaking on the occasion, the Ambassador stressed the importance of the historical relations between Iraq and France and expressed the keen of his country on sustainability and development.
Mr. Mahdi Al-Alaq delivered a speech in which he praised the role of France in supporting Iraq's stability and development projects. He also stressed Iraq's keenness to continue bilateral relations between the two friendly countries in all political, economic, commercial and cultural fields.
The event was attended by a large number of diplomats, officials, civil and religious figures and Iraqi civil society organizations.
