Mr. Khalid Al-Bayati, member of the General Board of Hammurabi Human Rights Organization HHRO, participated in the conference on establishing the Office of Coexistence and Community Peace in Baghdad held on 3/5/2018.

The proceedings of the Conference topped a speech addressed by the Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi delivered on his behalf, also speaking Mr. Mohammed Al-Tamimi Director General of the Non-Governmental Organizations Department in the Council of Ministers and the speech of the United Nations Development Program in Iraq.

 The task to be undertaken by this newly established Office was then reviewed. The events focused on dialogues on the concept of peaceful coexistence and strengthening communication among office members in the province and to create space for the exchange of experiences and identify potential opportunities, propose measures that would strengthen the roles of offices in promoting coexistence and community peace and the ways of dealing with the most important challenges that hinder the performance of important and vital roles.

During the discussions, Mr. Khalid Al-Bayati member of the General Board of Hammurabi Human Rights Organization said that the idea of activating tolerance programs and acceptance of the other should continue throughout all ages from childhood to adulthood and maturity, thus we have established a firm tradition of values of solid national solidarity away from any marginalization, exclusion or isolation. .
