Pascale Warda: The tourism sector is a key engine of sustainable development and an inexhaustible economic tributary.
Mrs. Warda stressed that improving the tourism sector will enhance stability and highlight the civilizational aspect of Iraq.
Mrs. Pascale Warda, Chairwoman of Hammurabi Human Rights Organization, said that the tourism sector is a key engine of sustainable development and an inexhaustible economic tributary, and should be given attention and developed. She stressed that improving tourism in Iraq not only contributes to enhancing stability and highlighting the civilizational aspect of Iraq, but is also a sector that can be one of the most important and inexhaustible Iraqi resources because “in every district of Iraqi land there is something that has not yet been discovered.” She continued that "Iraq does not lack anything in terms of humanity and competence, nor in terms of tourist sites to become a tourism State that attracts millions of tourists from all countries of the world. Mrs. Warda also called on the relevant Iraqi authorities to provide mechanism for enabling the tourist staff, starting with restaurants, hotels, tourist assistants and securing tourism traffic, with facilities that encourage tourists to enter and exit Iraq with confidence and peace...
Mrs. Warda added that it is important to understand that tourism is an industry that had lost many of its mechanisms due to continued attacks on the capabilities of the state. Therefore, we can and must not dispense with the experiences of other countries, such as those of Lebanon and Egypt, which are primarily dependent on tourism.
The Chairwoman of Hammurabi Human Rights Organization and Ambassador for International Women's Peace Group IWPG, Minister of Immigration and Displacement, expressed the support of the Hammurabi Organization for initiatives that contribute to the interest and attraction of tourists that reflects the generosity and respect of Iraqis for others and highlights the rich cultural and heritage diversity of Iraq.
