
Mr. Ayad Yaqoub: Some participants were able for financial gain by selling their products
On 23/1/2025, it was concluded the workshop on the Art of Cement and Resin held by Hammurabi Human Rights Organization.
The free training workshop was dedicated to women and girls who do not find job opportunities, aiming to raise their financial capabilities and living conditions to reach work inside homes.
Mrs. Pascale Warda, Chairwoman of Hammurabi Organization and Mr. William Warda, the Manager of Public Relations, attended the closing ceremony of the workshop, distributing certificates of appreciation and participation to the women and girls who participated in this workshop.
The training conducted by the Dohuk office of Hammurabi Organization was carried out in two phases over two consecutive months.
Twelve trainees joined in the first phase, starting on 13/11/2024 and ending on 10/12/2024, while the second began on 16/12/2024 ending on 23/1/2025 involving thirteen trainees.
The two-stage trainees received various skills and fundamentals of learning the art of Cement and Resin, carrying out artistic and handicrafts that reflect the evolution of their skills and abilities.
At the closing ceremony, Mrs. Pascale Warda, Chairwoman of Hammurabi Organization, delivered a speech of praise and gratitude for the efforts made for the success of the workshop by the administrative staff in the organization's office in Dohuk and the training staff commending the participants commitment and urging them to a hard strive towards developing skills and abilities to raise their living and life conditions.
Mr. William Warda, Director of Public Relations, participated in the closing ceremony, thanking all those involved expressing his pleasure at the work done which reflected the perseverance of the participants and their keenness to accommodate lectures and master the art of work.
In his speech to Nergal News Network, Mr. Ayad Yaqoub, the manager of the course, said that the trainees in the first stage had done a fantastic artistic work in the Art of Cement and Resin and that two of the participants had started working from home and were able to sell their products and earn financial gain which is a positive impact of the workshops, hoping that the results and outputs of the second phase will be more effective.
On their part and in a meeting to Nergal News Network the participants expressed their thanks and appreciation to Hammurabi Organization as well as to the partners who supported the training workshop, especially the Christian Solidarity International. They also expressed their gratitude to the staff of the Dohuk office for all facilities offered to reach success and the efforts of the trainers who were able to impart their experience and details of this art to the trainees.
