In Sadr City, Baghdad: Hammurabi Organization distributes Winter Clothes to Orphan Schools
On January 14, 2025, as part of its 2025 Christmas and New Year campaign, Hammurabi Organization distributed winter clothes (jackets) to students in two schools in Sadr City namely Farah Exemplary Mixed School 4 and Farah Mixed School 5.
The activity targeted eighty-three male and female students in the two schools, all of whom are orphans, with the aim of bringing joy to their hearts and protecting them from the cold and diseases that spread during this period, coinciding with the cold waves that swept through many areas of Iraq, including the capital, Baghdad.
Simultaneously, the Hammurabi team that carried out the event, headed by the organization’s Public Relations Manager and campaign project supervisor Mr. William Warda, took advantage of meeting with the two schools’ administrations to discuss the students’ conditions, their preparations, and ways to support and assist them in their educational journey, as well as to create suitable conditions for them to learn, as well as overcome the difficulties and challenges that they face.
The team also toured the two schools and viewed their spacious courtyards. During this, Mr. William Warda praised the two administrations’ work, their good organization, and the schools’ cleanliness in his conversation with the Hammurabi Organization’s Media Department. He thanked the administrative staff, headed by the ladies and gentlemen, directors and assistants, for the good reception and effective contribution to facilitating the work, as well as providing the required logistical services.
It is worth noting that the events were implemented in cooperation with the NGOs Department of the Minister’s Office at the Labor and Social Affairs Ministry, and with the partnership and funding of the Christian Solidarity International Organization. The winter clothes distribution process was attended by Mr. ‘Ali Sawadi, Haydar al-‘Atabi and Rana Muhammad from the Minister’s Office NGOs Department, while the Hammurabi team included the following volunteers: Yasin ‘Ali, Shamshi Yusuf and ‘Imad ‘Abd ‘Ali.
