In Akito, April 1, the Hammurabi Human Rights Organization (HHRO) celebrates the nineteenth anniversary of its founding, and it is more mature and understanding of the responsibilities it undertakes.
It is celebrating the anniversary of its founding at a time when it continues its preparations to hold its seventh electoral conference during the sec0nde week of May 2024, in the context of this conference being a station for renewal, qualitative additions, and a new road map for preserving the values of joint work.
Hammurabi devoted her effort to defending human rights, despite all the difficult circumstances, for the sake of justice, societal peace, and the openness of creative, voluntary giving, from Baghdad, from its two branches in Erbil, Nineveh, and its center in Dohuk, and if it is to be proud of this successful process, it can indicate with more confidence. Achievement goes to the hundreds of its humanitarian and awareness projects across the map of Iraq, to the list of its relationships with national and international partners with a degree of reliability, to the transparency and principles of integrity it enjoys, and to the field enrichment in honest and sincere awareness for the sake of Iraqis of various affiliations.
- Nineteen years of regularity, consistency, and effort in providing various scientific research to serve the issues of the Iraqi citizen, confront terrorism, and reject violent discourse, marginalization, and isolation.
When we talk about this, let us point to its strategic projects throughout the regions of Iraq, including the horizons of its achievements in Basra. We should also praise what it has achieved in its public relations and the applied field knowledge approach, and the wide appreciation, praise and acclaim it receives.
- Nineteen years of keenness to defend the rights of minorities and marginalized groups of women, children, people with special needs, and the vulnerable, such as displaced persons, returnees, female survivors, survivors of ISIS crimes, etc.
- Nineteen years of sustainable human rights and relief presence and projects to provide decent job opportunities for the marginalized
- Nineteen years of victory in tireless work to achieve the right to life, preserve citizens’ dignity, and ensure hope and reassurance.
This continuity of activity would not have been possible without the support of the determination of the organization’s active members and its partners from various similar organizations and relevant parties inside and outside Iraq.
