On Sunday January 12, 2025, Mrs. Pascal Warda, president of the Hammurabi Human Rights Organization, led a team from the organization to distribute winter clothing to poor children and orphans belonging to families living below the poverty line

The distributions came as part of a campaign that Hammurabi has been carrying out for a month on the occasion of Christmas and the New Year, in partnership with the Labor and Social Affairs Ministry and with the support of Christian Solidarity International (CSI).

Forty-five children benefited from this activity, and their mothers participated during its implementation, especially those whose children were sitting exams during those days.

The distribution was contributed by project supervisor William Warda and a number of volunteers including: Waqar ‘Ali, Haytham Majid and Shamshi Yusuf. A number of Labor and Social Affairs Ministry staff also participated in the distribution, including: Ms. Mahasin ‘Abd al-Qadir and Engineer ‘Umar al-Hafiz.

Once the activity concludes, Mrs. Pascal Warda and the rest of the team members will meet with Ms. ‘Utur al-Musawi, Director General of Women’s Affairs at the Labor Ministry, to exchange ideas and enhance cooperation between the Ministry and Hammurabi Human Rights Organization in everything that serves joint projects, cares for women, and helps marginalized families in society with basic solutions to enhance their livelihoods.
